Want to join in a safe space where you can share your challenges and successes in the workplace?  Do you aspire to be a leader in your organization or simply want to better understand how your cultural values influence your workplace behaviors and thus, how your colleagues perceive you?

If so, come join our fireside chat with Tamako Hayashi, Managing Director at Deloitte & Touche and current Chair of the JASO Board of Directors. 

Tamako Hayashi has over 27 years of experience serving Deloitte’s Japanese clients in Portland and Seattle. She currently leads the Japanese Services Group in Portland and Seattle and also leads the US Japanese Services Group as the deputy leader. Tamako focuses on consumer business and manufacturing, as well as serving various food processing companies. Her experience includes six years in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC in Osaka, Japan, as an audit partner serving a publicly traded company that files its consolidated financial statements to Tokyo and Osaka Stock Exchange in accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. She also served as an audit partner on a Japanese subsidiary of a major U.S. consumer goods company in Japan and has also assisted Japanese companies adopting International Financial Reporting Standards in the foreseable future. Tamako is recognized by her clients for personal, hands-on service, as well as her ability to develop excellent teams and bring the full breadth of Deloitte to the companies she serves..

She is active in the local community and currently serves as the board chair of JASO and as treasurer for Shokookai of Portland and the Japan Business Association of Seattle. Tamako is a certified public accountant in the states of Washington and Oregon and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
